Why join North Bay Alumnae Association?

When I was a young active my mother, who was also a Kappa, told me, “You’ll always have Kappa.” Of course, it didn’t mean anything then, because I was an active, living in the house.  I had Kappa NOW. The meaning of her words took on a clarity after joining NVAA. In our lives we all have loads of acquaintances, but it’s the history and shared experiences that make relationships important and valued. When we are younger it is easy to meet people through school, our children or careers, but these opportunities change as we get older and all these circumstances evolve into graduations, children growing up and moving out, relocating and retirement. The awakening of my Kappa memories through our shared Kappa history, traditions, goals, etc., reminded me of how much I LOVE being a Kappa.  Joining NVAA has been amazing because it reignited that connection and feeling. 

No matter what size your chapters was, no matter when you were an active, we all share the same foundation of Kappa. So as they say, my mother was right.  I will Always have Kappa.
